256mm brakes vs 284mm brakes

Does anyone really notice a difference? Just thinking of downgrading mine to 256mm for the rwyb im going to as i have 14inch slicks and 14 inch wheels wont fit over 284mm discs and calipers etc

256 aren't exactly inadequate though.

The difference is VERY noticeably. It surprised me.

If you only use your nova on a strip though then just drop down to 256s, for cheaper tyres/wheels, and a weight loss.......

I had 256 on mine and were good but going with 288 on my current one I just want better and I run 15s so should be ok

cheers for the advice chaps think im gona drop to 256mm's for racing days and use the v6 on the road sounds saft but fook it lol:thumb:

288 are good i was running this setup after i cracked the 256 discs !!

IMO you need 200bhp+ to go bigger than the 256 stuff. If you are only sprinting/dragging then 256 will be more than fine.
Assuming the car is stripped, any brakes will be more effective than on a heavier car.
