how much heat wrap do you reckon it would take to cover a 4-2-1 exhaust manifolt for a 20seh, 50mm wide?

I used 80 feet to do mine, overlapping properly, back to the first joint.

bargain :) is it the thick soft stuff or the thinner rougher one? i find the soft stuff very difficult to work with, and it usually rips and falls off within a few weeks

never tried it wet, my advise is to wear gloves, and keep your sleeves rolled down, as the glass fibres get everywhere, and are very itchy. start at the flange, and work to the first collector, then work the the second collector with the same piece. then start from the next , then start at the next runner and work to where you have already been etc. also overlap by about 30% and use plastic cable ties to keep it neat as you work, then replace them with just a few steel ones when your done.
