Well, after selling up from the Nova work and moving to Jap, the Nova bug has bitten and I want one again lol

Went to a car meet last night and saw Grey's Nova, and I fell in love:

Can't really afford to change cars yet, but as soon as i can i'll be on the look out for an Sri again :)

Tbh i never believed in the Nova bug, but now I do lol

Had an SR and an SRi, I preffered the looks of the SR, just for the retro coolness, but the SRi was alot better to drive, and noticeably quicker :)

Yeh but if you bigblock XE it (like mine and probs 85% on here) then its retro with powah! :P. but otherwise welcome back to the nova world. im 5 years with nova's and going strong (unfortunatly)

I know, i was meant to go with a mate of mine, I'm gutted tbh, as it was £10 in ( i think) and £15 to run up the hill all day...

BUT that with £40 of fuel i could afford to just waste right now.

If I was young again 1.6 16v would be my choice

Umm after having my Astra with a x18 i would say x18 for a new light equivalent to 20xe

1.2 FTW, f*ck all you guys with your big blocks :(

That is all lol

it was a tenner to get in. then 20 quid for the morning session or afternoon session with as many runs as you like in that session. so 40 if you wanted to run all day. but i spent 45 on fuel for the entire day. and that includes going nuts for 5 runs and a 2 1/2 hour journey there and a 2 1/2 journey back home.

oh and i was 19 when i insured my xe all legit. cost me 900 smackers for the year

I was also 19 when I had my first xe and insured it legit that was £700 for the year was gob smacked as the car as a 1.2 was £790 to insure with a different insurer but that was now about 12 years ago can't believe I've been driving 14.5 years now and in all that time there has only been 1 period of 3 months where I have not owned a nova of some description that was after I wrote the first one off and my dad got me a meastro to replace it FFs lol

NathanSRi

Well it'll cost me £840 to insure an SRi (with an SP30 :( ) which I think is pretty cheap

TBF mate i doubt it would be much more for the xe, try a quote with sky?

Yeh i tried SKY though and did all the member thing, they wanted **** loads more then adrian flux do, i try them every year just incase it jumps down a bit more the adrian flux, but never beats it so give ole adrian flux a try as well. dont mention its a 16v though, let them assume that one. i just said its a 2.0 out of a cavalier. which is true, n thats all they need to know teehee

scott.parker

Swings and all that jazz about roundabouts, etc, as Sky's cheaper on my track car and my mk4 Astra then flux could be..
