tbh you would think you would want as much people on here as you can but the way it is going the now im going to stop posting on here soon!!
Ryan, just use a spellcheck chap :) if you using a pc if will either have one or just download one for free :thumb:
The thing is most of us are a lot older than yourself and we had spelling drummed into us at school so much that some think it's lazy not to spell correctly that's all

Yes Ryan's spelling is shocking and by the sounds of it his computer skills are even worse if it he can't download a spellchecker ffs lol but it's hardly the end of the world, nor should he be made to feel that he doesn't want to post on here anymore :)

As already said, would be a shame if members felt like they couldn't post on here because of constantly getting pulled up on their spelling. I also agree that its getting old now, miss spelling a fue (giggle) words is not going to kill anyone. There is a huge difference between not even trying and using text talk and miss spelling the odd word.

Firefox is set to yank by default, I downloaded the UK dictionary and thought I'd changed to that yet firefox often trys to correct my spelling to the american version of some words. Good thing I paid some attention at school.

They should remake the nova to look identical but with the more modern engines and toys and a bigger range of engines. This way we could all get replacement panels for ours :) and I've now joined.

I'd be happy if new shells were made, maybe some rich nova fan could get it done. Not that I'd likely buy one given I haven't even reshelled mine despite it being the sensible and economical thing to do, but it would be nice to see new shells available.
A more modern Nova is exactly what the Corsa B&C&D are. Add modern safety features, comfort, complicated electronic everything and its not a Nova anymore.

they will not bring the nova back... they have no need to rename the corsa these days as toyota isn't marketing a corsa model in the uk(the real reason for the nova name) the car design rules have changed, it will never happen. and i don't think gm should do another old car pastiche.... they are part owners of fiat, remember.. and a new 'nova' would be way too expensive for normal people, so divorced women, hair dressers & winnebago owning coffin dodgers would be the only owners.....
I think Remade/new shells would be a good idea, especially more 2 door saloons!

Someone on a ford forum set up the reproduction of mk1 escort front wings and Mexico ones to supply the likes of hadrians. They were a pretty good fit too.

You would make a monumental loss and be left with little change...........
The New Mini (as hateful as it is) is NOTHING like the original (which was also hateful :p )
'Technically' a new nova with a few (or fue) tweaks would be produceable, just the NCAP ratings would be terrible as you may aswell have a Corsa D lol
Basically a Nova with a drivers airbag and a 1.9 CDTI 170 engine would sell rather well imho (aslong as it was a max of £15K. Lots and Lots of misty eyed people in their 30's now who had novas when they were newish and in the position to afford to spend the £15K on something like that.
BUT then again, a Clio 1*2 is pretty much what a factory big block 2l Nova 'would' be these days.

the difference is that bl/austin/rover/bmw kept basically the same tooling as they were still producing late model old minis, & transferred the gear to a facility that was already making the mg & tr shells from original tooling.....
i can guarantee that gm changed the presses to make the corsa b/c/d as & when necessary. and to retool would be shockingly expensive, even if, as people are known to do, you made concrete press moulds, as the actual machinery is big money to buy & run

Re the spelling.......so long as people make an effort and don't do the text thing. I usualy have the tv on, am on the phone whilst I do emails etc so my spelling is awful. It is great at work where it has to be but when at home....chill
BRING BACK THE NOVA......, I would love it but in actual fact through the corsa b c and d the nova/corsa has evolved. I liked the corsa D when it came out at first because it had a bit of the styling cues from the oriiginal nova, ie wheel arch flares and a bit of a face like the very first nova grill. Sadly it drives like most euro boxes, but that is the way now although I havn't driven the vxr.
