The 1.3 starts on an 03 onward, awesome on fuel but painfully slow on the motorway. They start from about £2500 upwards for a decent one without a ****ed engine.

Not painfully slow on motorways,110mph in 6th is more than enough lol just at setting off unless you proper bumhole it,its just a plodder..
Ive got an Astra 13cdti-very cheap tax, cheap to run (600+miles range) Recommended based on economy alone

Power wise I'd be happy enough as I'm driving a bad caddy at the mo with about 10bhp in so any thing would be a step up but just reliability and value of them at the mo is what I'm really wondering just engine wise how are they friend has a Combo and seems a nippy little thing but a Corsa might suit me better size wise

They are garbage and I made a big mistake buying.one

Make sure the turbo is ok if you do get one it cost me 440 quid for one.last week

I have one at the minute as a driving school car and I'm very impressed with it tbf averaging 58 mpg on lessons which is awsome not had any problems know a couple of other instructors with them and they all recommend them not had a bad report at all on the diesels and only £30 a year tax

Tax band b mate most of the corsas are in it think there are 2 different power outputs from the 1.3 so emissions will be different

Think I'll keep my eye out see what's available and have a look at a few but as I'll never really be on motor ways and will mostly be used to get in and out to work say it would suit me fairly good

It's not bad on motorway and most of the work I do is around town and am getting about 58mpg the other day I was in a que traveling at 50 so I zeroed the trip and over 10 miles at roughly 50 it averaged 78 mpg awsome on fuel tbf
