I'd keep the MX5.... A3's are the most tedious cars ever, and to have a 1.6 (either derv or petrol) would make you actually hang yourself.

as much as i do love german over jap...no. 1.6 a3s are gutless...UNLESS you could sell it for more than the mx5 lol

Thought you would like that tbh Stuart lol

And I'm trying to sell the mx5 but no one seems interested right now

You might shift the A3 easier, but with the 1.6 they are hateful. Very. Oh and the petrol engine drinks it like it's running out lol I guess due to them being heavy.

The Mazda drinks like a fish aswell tho lol and no one seems interested in it which is a bit of a shock really I think its a margin for someone lol

where are you actually selling it? and what money? is the audi book price any better??
remember, convertible values drop when autumn comes.

imho/experience the prices dont drop for softtops, they just become a little bit harder to sell.

anyway, sounds like your MX5 is shagged if its drinking fuel badly! they should easily do 40mpg since they weigh naff all and have an oversized engine for said weight.

I think the audi would be harder to shift - the only A3's people want are TDi ones or S3 versions.

I'd agree comparing with other variants/hatchbacks. But there are plenty of 1.6 A3's out there so someone is buying them. It's a cheap (purchase cost wise) way of getting an audi for the badge freaks (yeah, no idea why people do this either).

I thinly I get over 35mpg and that's spirited driving lol
