View Full Version : fan switch
I wanna be able to turn the fan on whenever i want by using a switch mounted on dashbaord. does switch on the rad operate a relay or does the switch handle the full current for the fan itself?
i.e. do i need a big F.O switch on dash that can handle the current?

i had mine running off a compressed air switch off a cav in one of the heated switch holes

i had to rewire it as the normal system is ground switching and i wanted the light on the switch to work....
easy enough to make it live switching with a relay.. then use a ground switched feed to click the relay from either the rad or a switch
i was gonna wire the switch in paralel to the rad sensor.
im guessing this wont work unles its a high power switch?

i didn't run a relay....
but i would if i did it again... but if using ground switching in parallel with the rad switch then it aint a prob cause it's just ground not live....
