currently welding up the nova, and i'm wondering how best to repair the battery tray/scuttle panel.
rot is as follows:
NS behind turret (with a previous repair welded from underneath)

as far as I can see, I have 2 options,
1. is to completely remove the firewall, allowing easy access to all areas, including stitch welding around the turrets.
downside to this is the wiper motor has nowhere to mount, and the blower motor and battery are all on display, which looks gash
2. is to attempt te repair it as it is, which looks impossible as you cant get the grinder in to cut out the rot or clean it up.
if its relevant, there is no engine fitted, and the whole bay is being painted anyway. it also needs to be strong enough for an XE
opinions and suggestions please :)
