Right dont know if any one can help me but i bought a car and the brakes were crap...

When you brake the pedal just drops to the floor and they lock up..

But when you have engine off its hard....

abit more info..

Its got 2lr brakes on front standard on back. braided hoses front, standard on back.

Sounds like a servo problem - if its a Nova I have a couple of servos if you need one.

if its a nova, i'd put money on rear brake trouble too...

Sounds to me like they need bleeding properly and adjusting on the rear

Do you have the Caliper on correct way round? Bleed nipple at the top. Simplest things we always miss!

Servo sounds fine imho.

Air and or dodgy rear cylinders would be my investigation places.

Stuart im sure you are my car! spot on rear cylinder ****ed(Leaking,,) and air in ma systems...

typical, stu gets the glory again.....

rear brakes are always the first place to look on a nova when you have a brake fault.....
