Roast beef, cooked with just a bit of blood in the middle. Rosemary and garlic roast potatoes, crispy on the outside fluffy in the middle. Roast veg cooked in the beef juices. Cauliflower and broccoli cheese, with home made cheese sauce. And bisto mmmmm
Bit like I cooked on my brand new 500 quid oven last Sunday :d

Hmmm... probably a curry from the local indian, or something from Prezzo. Spaghetti and meatballs orrr calzone
Fcuk home cooking when you can pay someone else to do all the cooking and cleaning for you lol
Fcuking massive pizza hut, or a really well made greasy burger from a van, guy where I used to work used to make awesome burgers, so much so he had people come from the other side/centre of town out to wickes for one lol

home-made steak and ale pie mmmm :)
home-made steak and ale pie mmmm :)
i have to admit that i've got a recipe somewhere for a steak & kidney pie with newcastle brown as the base for the stock, that has had a pretty good reception.... but i have to side with the hobbit on the roast beef...
option 1. my missus is a nurse & invariably works xmas eve. we always have beef for xmas dinner, so i get up at 8, and put the (huge) joint in, then start prepping the veg, and last year i finally managed to perfect my yorkshire puddings, so loads of them, i let the kids get up, and let the missus sleep, and spend the whole morning creating as close to the best dinner i can... then we spend the afternoon asleep on the settee having eaten far too much...
option 2. a couple of years ago we went to the George Hotel at stamford, and on a recommendation, had the 'trolley beef' which sounds odd, but they wheel a huge trolley round with a chrome cloche on it & it has its own gas burner to keep the meat hot, then they open it up right next to you & carve off a massive joint of beef... it is truly expensive, but a worthwhile indulgence once in a lifetime... then a team of waiters bring you everything you could possibly wish for to add to your meal....

My mum cannot cook for sh1t and im no better so roasts are not good in my house lol
Fcuking massive pizza hut
Blarg, Pizza Hut deep fry their pizzas. Be better off nom'ing a chunk of lard!
Dominos > Pizza Hut, especially since they now do their own stuffed crust. Mind you, if you're on a budget, Asda pizza wins over both lol
Ive had mixed experiences with dominoes, when it 1st opened round here i was absolutely trounced and got one,and threw it in the bin when i got home so it must have been absolutely disgusting for me to do that.
But a few weeks ago after visiting the snooker club, and ending up blasted (lol) i somehow ended up on way home from dominoes with 2 pizzas and a tiny one the size of a cd.
I dont remember what flavours,or how much,i just remember getting out of the taxi and carrying them like briefcases and then them being absolutely sublime lol lol lol

Marry me!
lol
As long as it has home made crispy roast potato's I'm happy, cant beat a proper roast dinner like but as said above, I'm taken with just cheese on toast with lea and perrins. Actually, I'm gonna make some now!
Lol at merris saying home cooked the posting a picture of a packet mix:p
Have to say Andy's sunday roasts are the stuff of dreams and he will make Lynne a very good wife eventually lol
As for home cooked meals, we have home cooked chinese (stir fry) every thursday, egg fried rice, egg noodles and stir fry with chicken water chestnuts onion and mushrooms (can leave the shrooms out for me though as theyre rank) we also have spring rolls and chicken goujons.
Although my mums lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork that we have on special occaisions is just awesomeness!
For purchased out and about food, I have to say the Pizza's from the Maggi Hotel/Pizzeria half a mile from the Lambo Factory and 5 miles from the Pagani Factory are just stunning. About the size of a range rover wheel, thin as feck, loaded with proper italian toppings etc al all for 8 euros!!! mmmmmmmmmm WANT one now lol.
Home cooked, Carly does an ace 'chuck in the pot chicken' where chicken thighs are lobbed in a pan with veg and tomato soup and left to cook for hours mmmmm And we are having that for Dinner tonight :) yummy.
I do love a good risotto and happen to be awesome at making them :) Best with a shot or two of Chase vodka in too.
And BBQ's cod loin or spatchcock/deboned chicken cooked whole in 15 mins on there :)
Bloody hell that just made me salivate. lol
You're welcome round for a roast any time :wisewood:

Pizza hut is closer and does the 50% off over £30 deal though, stuffing yourself for less than the price of a large pizza = win. lol
i have banged the drum for ponchinellos pizza takeaway in hinckley since it opened in the late 80's.. tina, the owner has recently sold it, and is concentrating on her italian restaurant, so i'm lacking a good pizza place, and having to fall back on the good old asda made while you wait stonebakes....
but face facts, any multi branch pizza place that doesn't make their own dough on the premises will never be a really good pizza place... stu is right about italian pizzerias, with the stone oven up the corner, they are amazing...
