coilover adjustment

I have a set of gaz coilovers on my car front and back never touched then before as am not clued up on them .the height part is not a problem its the two dials on the the back two shocks and the adjustment part on the top of the front shocks. is this for rebound damping like mx bike . any info

i think the one at the top of the strut is for rebound mate unsure about others
