1.3 aint that still the old 1.3 x-flow? Even in a MK5, that engine was in the MK1 Escort in a slightly different guise. In fact with more power id bet cause it didnt have to conform to emission regs.

You will KILL a 1.3 escort. I had a friend who had the same car and by 80 i was nearly 10 car lengths ahead!

Consequently she now has an XR3i cab but thats only the same acceleration as my standard 1.4SR, well fractionally faster in third...
