1989 Carmine red Nova 1.3 SR

- MOT'd to the 4th of August 2012.
- Registered on the 23rd of May 1989
- 33,700 Miles from new.
- 4 Owners from new.
- All original windows and even windscreen.
- New Michelin MXL tyres.
- New Ashley rear silencer
- New Dealership plates, rear window sticker and tax disc holder. Same as originals.
- New genuine Vauxhall Mudflaps.
- Original handbooks and wallet present.
- Clips in boot carpet are present and un broke.
- No holes on parcel shelf.
- None of the common bolster wear.
- Still has the 'OK' marks on the suspension.
- Original brake lines.
- Original Phillips Stereo.
- Factory fitted tilt and slide sunroof.
- Cobra alarm system.

I have spent alot of time cleaning and sourcing bits to make the car to my taste. It needed a fair few clips inside and few little fiddly bits fixed. All clips and trim inside are now present.

The shell of the car is a 100% rust free and has all original panels. It has never been welded and doesn't need any. Rear arches, front wings, boot floor, front and back pannel,battery tray,doors, sills and underneath etc is all rust free and original. The car was waxoiled when new and I have cleaned this of underneath to show how clean it really is.

Hi Keith,

The silver thing is to do with the Cobra alarm. You have to insert a key in there and then start the car. :thumb:

danny mate what is wrong with your head sell this. after all the work. chances of getting another in the same speck ? . i was offer 3gs for mine at a show a month ago but i wouldnt sell just for the same reason.

Yea I know it will be very difficult to replace this car. I doubt I would be able find another SR in same condition again. But another car has caught my eye and I would be tempted in it if this happened to go. But if not, I won't be too bothered. :thumb:

Lovely car, absolutely brilliant nick. If you don't need the cash and you have somewhere to store it, it'll fly up in value soon.... If I had room to store it, I'd buy it as an investment! Look at rs2000 and golf gti values shooting up into the stratosphere lately!!!!

Glws though, I hope it goes to someone in the community!

Thanks for that. I am not that bothered if the car goes or not, like you say it only go up in value. There's not much more I can do to the car and I am not the age to drive yet. I wouldn't mind another little project, but I think it will be hard to get another one with a good shell again.:thumb:

I will keep my eye out for another Nova, but in no panic for another car for a while.
