I'm changing engine from x14xe (with PAS & A/C) to an e16se (without either)(please dont comment on conversion, its personal choice, I like 8vs and have this one spare). Therefore, do I need to change offside engine mount or can I use the original?

Also, with the removal of the power steering, I have a really dumb question.....do I JUST change the rack to a manual one, or does the column need changing too?

Tar muchly :thumb:

Column is same due to it being fluid PAS, so just swap the rack

Engine mount is also the same, or I'm guessing so as you use the same between 8v and 16v in a Nova

Well I had thought the mount would be usable as I dont have PAS or Air con belt (auxilary belt) to worry about, so the whole in the mount will just become redundant, thats the only difference between the mounts as far as I can tell.

Thanks for info on rack, will change it :D

wont the pump bolt to the e16 block like it does on the x14xe? if so can you then use the multi ribbed bottom pullley and alt and run the x14xe aux belt?
