Indiglo Nova Dash

I've approached a member of migweb about producing a run of the below Indiglo dashes for the 6 clock nova dash. he has contacts with a company in the states and is succesfully importing his second batch for cav/astra gsi's

The price will be ?90 for a set but we'd need a minimum of 10 sets to get an order placed. If I/We can drum up 20 orders the price will fall to ?65.

So basically i want a list of names of people who would be interested in a Nova Indiglo Dash @ ?90

TBH the pics don't do them justice. They remain one shade accross the whole clocks. The also have a dimmer and a switch to change between blue & green.

is it purely the bulbs or is there another mod that is caried out,

the pic you osted has very balanced light across the dial and looks like it isnt a bulb as such making it look like that

Hi Dicko

It's Proper Electroluminescent dials. AFIAK each dial looks like a lockwood dial but with a connector at one side to connect up to the power supply. My mates got a set in his astra gsi and they are as bright as Doms dials in the RX7 at the beginning of the F&F

Leds vs these theres no real comparison.

No. You can get a blue effect with leds but its not as bright and not as even.

This uses Electroluminescent material on the dials IE The dial itself (like you would get in lockwood kit) lights up when a current is applied.

hehe think my TD counter goes to 5k rpm :-/

but i get an awful amount of black smoke at that amount of revs :roll:

remove the acc stop and it will go to 6k

bascially setup to run more boost but iv turned it down until i can get a guage conected to find out what its running so i dont kill it

the boost limiter will kick in at 1.1bar? and the car will surge as it opens and closes

Sorry to spoil the Fun, But you can already buy them for a Nova for ?69. Do none of you read Total Vauxhall or Fast car? They were in there.

dickos td aint got a bleed valve so its runnin std boost :) wot is std boost anyway, 9psi? And I do believe the max revs listed on da rev counter is 6k with redline @ 5 :)

Might as well tape a maglight onto the steering wheel- gives the same effect.

I did the Leds replacing the bulbs behind the instruments- and modded them to light nicely and evenly- and with no stupid things stuck on the shroud :roll: and i bet i did that before you did yours if you want to get picky :p


Dont be cheap about things like this- do it properly-
Electro dials or specific leds in place of the bulbs-.

I don't think they look cheap freak. And if your on a budget like most student Nova owners, its a good way of adding a bit of colour to the normally very dull and boring dial lights for not much money.

I was a student also at the time.

Full set of Leds to do the whole dash- not just the clocks- came to less than a set of those stupid things.

Sorry, but in my opinion they are cheap and lazy.
The light itself doesnt look (as) cheap, but the things sticking out of the steering shroud does.
And this has been mentioned before on here- just because an opinion is negative/contradictory- doesnt make it any less valid.

Hi.

Just spoken to the guy who was looking at importing these dials from the US for me. He knows about these and yes they are cheaper if theres only 10 sets.

However he's rightly pointed out that the fonts on the dials are nowhere near as good (the imported ones will be perfect copies of std nova dials) and if you read the whole ad its an introductory offer. First fifty sets going for ?69 then up to ?120.

I'd prefer to get hold of the imported ones if i can get enough interest. May even be able to invest my own cash to order 20 sets and sell for ?65

It's down to personal choice I suppose and if i can't get enough interest i guess the ATD ones will have to suffice :(

Yeah right.

Nova Neil beat me to it, but these dials are already available in the UK. I posted the link months ago.

And there is NO difference between the one's yuou've pictured and the ADT dials.

In fact the whole thing smells like bullshit. 'Imported' from the US? More likely bought from Atotint with ?20 slapped on, and re-sold.
