Heres one for you all a lad at my workplace keeps calling my nova sr a chova basically taking the piss as ive taken it cos iam thinking he means its a chav car and is still living in the 90's when novas where kitted up and seen at cruises at alot the thing is he drives a rotten xr3i which he puts 2ltrs of oil in every week, i put it down to being jealous what you think? also can any one think up of any names for a 3i? :thumb:

My 1300 SR had just enough tweeks to out drag an XR3i in a straight line;), but the best bit was watching them trying to follow you through s bends as they tramped all over the roadlol

I really, err naffed of one XR3i one night (A plate), he overtook me to demonstrate his superior vehicle:roll: on this particular road we were travelling down there was a really long straight, on this I pulled out and slowly past him..... he had nothing left lol we then came to the twisty bit, so showed him how well she performed through the bends as the distance increasedlol

I have to say I love old 80's cars, I had a friend with a XR3i, we had all sorts of cars over the late 80's;)

I wouldn't mind a Mk1 XR2, white heat RS turbos are pretty scarce, been years since I've seen any of them on the road.:eek:

Nova 1.3 SR's were always the underdog:d

Right, fact, i owned an XR2i fiesta, hated every year of it, ******* broke down all the time, was quicker then my mates SR's/SRi's GTE's etc, but there RELIABLE...

Ive also had the mis fortune to drive an XR3i and think there more like a Xtreamly Rattly (3)Turd, (i)Aye.. (XR-turd-i ) Utter s h it basicaly..

Sorry ford lovers, i had some nasty personal experiences with some 80-90's "performance" fords, and my dads not had much better luck, though hes stuck with them, i wont ever want one again in a hurry..

Years back i had a dabble with a lad in a 3i, when i was in my old mk2 1400 SR, beat him in a straigh line so he started overtaking in the face of oncoming traffic, i left him be and backed off, only to watch him try to squeeze past a renault scenic as the driver of the scenic apexed a light bend, cue the 3i bashing its nearside on the roadside barriers, and its offside on the scenic, he then carried on and didnt stop, i was very glad id given him the road as he was dangerously annoyed that a nova had beaten him:eek:

i dont have any experience of 3i's but the carb 3s are ****in terrible, engine is a heap a ****! my 13sr was better than my mates ones. pals xr2s and rs turbos have been nice though.

scott, was your 2i a cvh or a zetec? and wat went wrong with it? just out of interest
