differnce between mk1 and mk 2 fuel tanks

Whats the differnce i know the floats locate differnt some bolt on and some twist on is that it?

Tanks are all mostly the same gte gsi ones have a bolt in sender unit spi ones have an intank pump but most carb models are the same What do you have and what do you need

standard sri set up m8 my filler cap leeks due to ball in tank not being there.just trying to figure out what to buy .Went to see a brand new tank tonight 60 mile round trip to find out the cage and ball were not in it.

Just put an add in wanted fit the ball then? It's only a plastic insert found in all tanks

Is the existing tank rotten? seems a bit excessive to buy a whole new tank just to get the plastic ball/cage thing if not. I recently bought a brand new tank myself and it didn't come with the ball/cage (I suspect none do) so i had to coax it out of my old tank.

Let me see I think I have one but lots of people throw them Im running nearly 400 bhp and never needed it or had leaks
