My cousin asked me to look at a car for her today, A 1.4 Auto Corsa B, Chap wants £100

No Tax or MOT

It needs

Rear Spring
Patch of Welding
1 wiper
1 rear brake wheel cylinder
Slight wobble on front end (wheel balance out)?
And a good polish

If i bought the car and did it up would i make much money on it or wouldnt it be worth it?

Also would it be difficult to sell being an auto?

Opinions Please :thumb:

after you done the work and put mot and tax on it its not overly worth it imo.

If the price of scrap is good then go for it lol

In terms of cleaning it up and selling on, probably not worth it - there's no guaranteed sale price as there would be (or ought to be) with scrap, and you might find a few horrors whilst working on it. Plus you'll have a slim buyers market what with it being an auto.

Oh, and they are the slowest things on the planet!

i only paid just over 400 for a 1999 1.6 sport with 80 odd k and almost full test, some tax. dont really go for a lot now
but as said, offer him 70ish and go weigh it in, or break it for parts maybe. cant really be robbed for 100
