Dual coil wasted spark

Lookin at ecus! What is a dual coil wasted spark? Has my early c20xe got this?

i doubt it...early XE's would have been dizzy...and the later ones coil pack (or at least that what i assume it means)

Wasted spark is coil pack cyl 1 and 4 use the same half of the coil while 2 and 3 use the other while one us on fire the other is on induction so it's called wasted spark as it's not doing any thing so it's Beeing wasted

So would a megasquirt ecu meant for this be ok with a c20xe engine(early no lambda)?

It depends on how the megasquirt is set up?

Megasquirt can be changed to run almost anything. Iirc most people use the edis stuff from fords with the vaux Engines when using megasquirt.

Why do you want to use megasquirt?

Well im thinking of using it incase the standard ecu can cope with throttle bodies! I have a thread on that already!
