I've always had a high idle on my C20XE ever since i have stuck it in, its idling around 1,100 RPM and not sure why its not settling, i list what i have done to over come it. Its a coil pack engine to.
Rebuilt the engine
i've replaced the loom twice,
Tried three different ECU's.
cleaned 3 idle control valves and stuck them in,
cleaned out the holes for the cam cover to throttle body holes (the really ickle one)
cleaned the throttle body,
replaced air flow meter,
new gaskets on throttle body and inlet,
cleaned injectors,
different lambda
new CTS switch,
Breather mod done to cam cover
checked timing
Any help would be great, or anyone that has a coil pack engine close by I would like to come up and see.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :d

Have the butterfly screws been touched at all the ones where the aceclerator linkage sits against if so this could cause a high idle mate.?

Have a look at the TB, someone might have had a DIY go at knife edging

Naw the butterfly hasn't been shaved down at all and it seals down really well it seems, put some carb cleaner in it and it will sit in there pretty well! n not drip down to quickly!

can you explain in more detail, are you talking about the outer moving part that the cable attaches to, what there could cause a high idle?
