Been running my recently converted c16xe nova for about 10 days now, has been running well untill a few days ago, started running on 3 cylinders, waggled no1 spark plug lead and it came back to life so a set of new plugs and leads and its running like a tractor. Its usable at low revs but as soon as you put your foot down it just a nightmare, leads i took off were shot so i thort it would have sorted it any ideas maybe its the coil thats gone down ? or is there any other problems that these engines suffer from ? Cheers Phil.

c16xe doesnt have a coil? Could be dispack - have you put leads on the wrong way?

Yes coil pack just above the throttle body, that was my next thought but dont want to throw good money away really :) And there are numbered, plus its not a massive misfire its still driveable but its there and greatly affecting performance under load.

i meant dis pack doh
my x16xe's playin up abit due to the throttle body, but not miss firing, just getting stuck shut when not used for a few hours, have to stomp on the pedal lol

Try compression test

Also check plug gaps and fuel pressure but more than likely coil pack
