CAR PARTY day 5/7/2003 (including pics)

Who let some rowdy Mob (dan'slimjim'cambridge'myself) take over is barn for the day. During the day we learnt cooking skills'Another jamie oliver. lmfao' The how to get dirty guide was carried out by cambridge wjo used himself as a human brush(cambridge) Mind you cp was happy is floor was cleaner when you left(more dirt on cam than the bloody floor. Slimjim is applying for a new job in Changing rooms. Interior design. Very nice mr Bowen! lol

There was some bits involved where the lads fixed the car honest!!!
Lol just kidding. Excellent job done by all. Also cured a few under lying problems that were found while work was being carried out.

Anyhow will add further comments later as ive gotta go out now.

Yep defo cheers to cp, all in toll it turned out to be a 23hr round trip for me but well worth it. Left home at around 5.00am and trundled over. Arrived at 7.20ish :o so got the lazy git up :P . The 3 lads slowly followed in after and we ummed and arrrrd about what to do, we had all sorts from windows to tie bars through to major interior work.

Along the way we found a few issues which we sorted whilst at it to save messing around like the good old split gator or odd balljoint split. The interior was a major job because of the absolute crap the previous owner had put in to sound deaden in, it was just like a smeary tar with foil top :? , the pictures below of the inside just cant describe how much better it is now, even before the paint went on it was 110% times better. Also jim worked his magic with the interior trim and smartened up all of that area.

The event was well worth it as we covered alot of work with some good laughs along the way, even with the 2 giggling girls laid under the car (camb/chris). The food was of the highest standard as myself and chris shot off to safeways and bought some barbeques and stuff, which we got 2 meals out of just, followed by lots of junk food and a slap up chinese in the evening :D .

That was one one of the reasons why i jumped at the chance cos oneday i might need some help and would like to think others would help me :D

Just before I went of to my VxlSCC meeting today we popped into my work and I set Damo SR's timing and mixture up for him, hes now happy that hes car is running much better.

Its nice when ur a bit stuck you can call on mates to help out. :)

was a very worth while exercise ! learnt a few bits along the way.
Saved me alot of cash in one respect. cheers lads.
was just good to get a group together for a laugh really.
really how car groups should operate. everyone helping each other!!:)


finally got me tracking sorted now. that diff is now pulling that car straight instead of all over the place cambridge. lol (little safer)
No one would touch it cos of how low the front is. so took it to a lad i know who has gauged it by eye till we can get it done. But it seems spot on at the moment.
