spi fuel tank in a gte

just wondered if this would work ok with a mpi pump,story goes i bought a c20xe engine,spi tank,mpi pump (none of which has ever been fitted,as with most novas on here its in bitslol but now may be swapping the c20xe engine for a correct gte 1.6 engine as i want the car to be original,just would save hassle of having to buy a new tank etc when i already have the spi one,thanks.
