Hi,

Will Eibach Pro-Kit springs for a Corsa B GSI (1993-2000) fit on a Nova GSI?
Eibach don't do Nova GSI Pro-Kits anymore. There are some left for the Corsa B though.
I think they will fit without any problems, but hope to get some conformation from you guys.

Cheers!

Jeff

Thanks! Some research on the Bilstein site confirms both Corsa B and Nova use exactly the same struts.

I love it when a plan comes together... ;)

corsa springs will work but will sit slightly higher as they're a little bit firmer

Now I'm offered a Pro-Kit for a Nova 1.0 - 1.4. But I need springs for a standard GSI C16SE.
Are these springs to 'weak' compared to the springs you would fit on a GSI?

Can't find a decent Eibach Pro-Kit for a GSI.
So what would be the best option:

1. Fit a Pro-Kit for a Corsa (B) 1.0 - 1.6
2. Fit a Pro-Kit for a Nova 1.0 - 1.4

Thanks!

Jeff

I was using Eibach pro spring kit for 1.4 on my Nova 20XE and they were fine

corsa springs are bigger mind so a -40mm corsa spring will only be -20mm on a nova

I think I'll opt for the Nova Pro-Kit. Only wondering why they don't state the 1.6 engine in the specs. Would that be because the GSI is lowered as standard? I'll give Eibach a call tomorrow in my best German.... :-)

Had a chat with Eibach this morning. The set I'm offered is the 6501.1.40 Pro-Kit for a Nova 1.0 - 1.4. The guy at Eibach couldn't tell whether these springs would suit the 'heavier' 1.6 engine in a GSI or not. That's because the GSI is already on lowered springs from the factory and they didn't test it back then. Also he told me that the ride height would lower just a few mm because the GSI is already -20mm as standard. So I'm guessing the springs would work fine and are firm enough. I'm only after a more progressive ride together with a full set of Bilstein B6 dampers.

What I want to know is if these springs are not to soft, simply because they were not designed for a GSI which weighs more then your standard 1.3 or 1.4.
Even had a chat with Courtenay and they're also not 100% sure...

Who can help?

Trust me there not soft when i fitted them they didnt really lower the 1.4sr at all !
they looked better when i was running a 20xe but this was the engine wieght doing this obviously
they are really good quality springs and they should work a treat in the Gsi just dont expect them to slam car on its ****
many thanks hope this helps

are people forgetting about tigra's aswell?
i have spax ssx tigra fronts on my corsa, poundage is a bit softer than corsa ones id say

in your case the corsa ones will be much stronger poundage than a nova's if eibach actually made much difference in them, heard loads of different stuff...

apparently corsa b/tigra a/nova springs all fit on a corsa c if you turn them upside down
