After a very long time I have finally got my hands on an original toolkit:d

My SR when I bought along time ago came with only the bracket, I didn't actually know what was suppose to fit in there:confused:

To date this is the only one I have seen in the flesh, so to speak, until now I'd only seen photo's

So at last here it is

Guy I bought it off said it was out of his '86 SR, it will soon be in my SR:d

I was just wondering if many people have them or had them originally in there cars?

but will you dare to use it?

i have to say, my trusty old gm double ended screwdriver gets a ton of use.

It fits inside the boot, on the RH panel, just forward of the rear lamp access;)

Welcome to the club Royston lol

BTW, there are indents on the inner quarter upright & trim panel to show where the screws go :)

Here is mine fitted to the Sport, it was an unused one I got on Ebay for £20 BIN....

Came out of an A reg SR which I subsequently bought a couple of years back.

Mk1 Astra tool kits are different as they are deeper...

First one i've seen for a Nova, tbh i assumed the seller got it wrong and it was actually a mk1 Astra kit!

Well finally got round to fitting it this evening:d

Someone asked for a photo of the bracket

Ironically I wanted to use the toolkit to fit the bracket, but the screwdriver wouldn't fit the screwslollollol, just had to use a Snap On one instead:roll:
