got this jack russell pup the other month, and it keeps eaten its own ****, and my other dogs **** aswell:wall:, any ideas apart from killing it on how to make it stop!!!

One of my Dogs does it too, after taking her to the Vet he said it's usually down to them lacking something in their diet hence trying to find nutrition elsewhere. Also if you have other Dogs in the household it's a dominance thing as they tend to eat the poop of the more Dominant dogs in the household (which I think is the case of mine).

i have one 2 year old jack russell (cald jack to be original) and the puppy, i feed jack iams, and the puppy iams puppy dry biscuts, no human food.

my mates dog did it for a while, when taken to the vet they said the it was something to do with the dogs enzymes , and needed some special tablets for the rest of its life

Try picking up and disposing of your dogs ****t before it gets a chance and try it on some other food maybe try a wet food once or twice a week aswell and if it don't help I would take the dog to the vets

strangely enough, poo is full of nutrients and good stuff (we only get rid because our bodies cant use whats left) think of fertilizers (sp) full of poo :)

what food is your dog on? as said, it might just be after additional thing it needs in its diet that it doesnt have in its food.

and it also might be worth doing a poo patrol round your garden every evening to limit its opportunities

i talked to a god friend about this for you and she said its more then likely a lack of nutrients and to make sure the dog stops before it becomes a habit hope that helps mate
