i saw that on ebay earlier, i wasnt planning on buying it. What im thinking of doing is using my 1.2 carb on my 1.6 gsi engine im rebuilding temporarily just to get the engine running. i have round ports on my 1.6 head, but the 1.2 ports look different. im just thinking that maybe a using a 1.6 gasket could compensate for the slight difference in shape

that sure looks like its for use on the grass? 1 3/4" SU?
Yes, made to fit SU and also a DCOE weber :-)

which nova carb's came with inlet manifold that have round ports?
None, they are either square or cathedral. Unless you go for a twin 40 weber manifold.
Stock rods run SE heads with 1.3 or 1.4 manifolds and pierburgs and they go pretty well!

i just need my 1.6 engine running as soon as i can. see what the problem is, my 1.2 is going to die soon, and i need car every night for work. I was planning on putting the 1.6 engine in, but on the 1.2 carb temporarily so that way i can drive my car without the possibility of it dying. so i would have more time and money etc to get all the bits i need to run the 1.6 injection setup. what about if i were to use a 1.6 inlet manifold gasket but on a 1.2 carb, surely the gasket would compensate for the difference in shape?
Even if it fitted I suspect the jetting would be well weak and you'd need a dizzy to run a carb. I get all the bits and get the 1.6 running on injection.

yeah i think that might be best. just hope my engine lasts a little longer :) what ive been told i need to get my 1.6 running is higher pressure fuel lines, a fuel pump that can produce about 60-90psi and an spi fuel tank. OR, weld in a boss into my fuel tank and use an external pump. is this right?
