... every night, or is it just me?
I get home after working 11 hour days and my routine is to have my dinner/tea and probably 5 or 6 beers every day. Should I be worried with the amount I drink or what lol

Its the same @ mine, obviusly its not good for you just get worried when you start selling the big ishh for a litre of frosty jacks.
Nah its not that bad, its when you get to the point where you feel you actually need to have a drink, id give yourself a few nights off every now and then to make sure you havent got 'the need' ive come close to becomming an alcoholic years ago and stopped myself in time, im not going into specifics on here but trust me im not talking ten cans a night im talking spirits but thats another matter.
And yes this probably sounds silly coming from me as most know how much i cane beers and such but meh:p

Spud of course I'm an alcoholic, I drink every night. My routine is beer and it's a pattern I'm in. Sadly when I ring you I'm usually sober and you don't answer :p
Lol, sixteen is quite impressive for you but bottles are only small really though arent they lol

Spud they were the large bottles as in 500ml ones :(
to be perfectly honest, it is excessive.. maybe 2 cans a night is ok ish, but 5 or 6 is a touch OTT.
buy some carling & then don't fridge it..... that should put you off beer
I'm boring and have one or 2 at weekends. To be fair, I'd be the size of a house if I drank daily lol
Southie youre my new hero, are you trying to claim dampers crown as king of damperland lol

Becks is enough to put you off lol I was on jack and coke every night and gave it up and I feel much better. Try just to have drinks at thr weekend.
Becks aint that bad, if you want a really gash one, try carlsberg, it tastes like dishwater lol

Or Budweiser Yuck
Why has fosters not been mentioned yet?
Also, yeah I'd say it was excessive, although I've recently been having 1 or 2 bottles a night, not through need or wanting to feel pissed every night, just because it's quite refreshing after a long day... Ice cold Coke also works but it's never put in the fridge ready lol

The big Becks bottles are 660ml iirc?
16 of them is a bit ott tbh. lol
I used to drink everynight, not excessively(3-4 cans) but ive now cut that down to just a few beers on a weekend.
It doesnt interest me like it used to
Fosters is alright h'actually, a lot of people moan that its too sweet but i likes it, used to drink carling back in the day but now i dont like it, although the pub we were in for the nights do at Robs wedding over the weekend only had carling on tap so i was on that and its not too bad on draught:eek:

Spud I'm after no crown as its my daily routine, thankfully I've not been too any car meets yet or we will run out of beer lol
Mowgli I've 10 cans of carling not in the fridge so I'm now tempted... This is now my downfall of not owning a car tbh :(
Ummm, nope cant say as i have, but all of this talk of beer is making me thirsty so ive lobbed a few fosters in the freezer:d

Spud answer your bloody phone :p
Fosters is just weak as anything, dunno about sweet, if it had any kind of flavour at all it'd be better lol
I rarely ever drink anymore. One glass and i'm merry lol. I shall be treating myself to a nice bath and a glass of wine in a moment though :d

I would have a few bottles of budweiser most nights, usually 2-4, I find it relaxes me and helps me sleep ( very rarely would get hammered anymore). Usually when there is something good on tv! Then I'll leave it for a few weeks without any.
But I was at the stage before when I couldn't sleep without a few sips, so I'd say have a few days off every now and then.

how do you manage to drink a whole bathful???
pfft beer...yuck...ill have me cider thankyouplease. Bow or rattler though, but rarely drink.
If your worried its excessive then it is.I think that is personally.
I'll be open and honest here,i had drink problems back in 09 and stayed off it for 6 months.Had counselling etc,now its no longer a problem but its a threat that im all too aware of,go have a liver function test then discuss the results with your gp.
I only drink weekends now,it was all day most days before,it nearly cost me everything.
bow???? that stuff is awful.....
Every night is a little keen mate lol
I used to get wasted on all sorts every night, in my 20's, worse on the weekends, but slowly realised the amount of cash it wastes, I have a few when I'm off for few days now
Have you added up how much you spend per month ?? That might chance your outlook on it all

I agree about the money shocking when you acculy sit there and work it out can't afford to drink like I do anymore as I'm getting my own place such will be taking almost all my money every month
IMHO its definetly excessive.

Having seen the bad effects of alcohol on people close to me has really put me off the stuff. Drinking nearly every night may seem harmless now, but you could end up doing the same 10 or 20 years later only with a liver on the way out and any other number of complications. Its good to be able to relax or have fun without relying on booze, anyway hangovers suck.
well my dad was a alcholic , my mum nearly was, and my step dad virtually is ,
so i dont drink at all , i used to when i was 17-21 ish out in the clubs etc , but nothing stupid and i have never drank on a night other then friday or sat when there is no work the day after .
the last time i drank was my stag do last september , and Rexy got me well and truley wasted , i wont drink for a good couple of years again now lol
5 or 6 almost-pints (500ml) every night is excessive. Recommended weekly intake for a bloke is 20 units - you're doing around 5 times that.
I used to drink a lot, realised I was doing it pretty much every day, so stopped. My health improved, I lost weight, I was fitter, I had more money (lol). I've still retained my general intolerance though, so when I drink wine its by the bottle and not the glass lol
As Andy said, if you have to ask yourself that question, then the answer will always be yes. If you want to cut down or stop, start by replacing the alcohol with water, fruit juice, anything else to drink that isn't alcoholic.
