i woz just wondering weather GTE clocks would go in to a 1.2 with no work needed

Very little work would be needed if you just want to put them in and a few things not work. Every thing but the oil pressure and rev counter will work fine.

If you want to oil pressure guage to work you will need the sender from a GTE. And maybe run a wire from it if your loom doesn't already have it.

And the rev counter will need wiring in or just pluging in if you are lucky enough to have the wire already on your loom. If not you just need to run a wire from you coil to the counter.

It is easy enough and plenty of people can give you advice so dont worry.
