You are unlikely to find anything 'off the shelf' which meet your requirements...turbo engines deliver their power much differently to a N/A engine. It may be worthwhile speaking to Newman Cams as their RS Turbo camshafts are well thought of - which is along the lines of what you need. As far as I know they are quite customer friendly in terms of developing one offs etc

The cheaper option would be to retain the standard cam or fit a mild aftermarket profile - Kent AST1 is about the limit for a nice driveable engine lol

I'll be using a standard e16se cam

When Craig had his 8v turbo it was slower with a piper cam fitted, he pit the standard one back in iirc

You need a custom cam with more exhaust duration to get the turbo spinning faster, I looked into it, if you sweet talk kent cams they would give you advice and make you one to fit your needs.

Im sure I remember reading this too.

don't turbo engines require little to no valve overlap? whereas with N/A engines, the wilder the cam is, the more overlap you get? easier to overcome when converting DOHC engines, as overlap can be removed with a vernier, whilest an 8v will need a custom canshaft.

So a standard cam will do fine,

In theory would a one off cam be worth the cost for the gain?

( bit of a silly question I know )

Standard cam will be fine, nice and smooth for power delivery and has a little more lift for better power without being to lumpy to drive!
