Insurance on 1.4 SR

Been looking at buying a 1989 1.4 SR. Car is standard and in fair condition. Only problem is insurance. I am 21 and have just past my test.
I have had 3 online insurance quotes.


1/ e-sure ?2392.
2/Elephant.co.uk ?4050.
3/Norwich union direct ?2192.

Surly these companys are having a joke with me?

Can you recomend any companys where i could get a realistic quote?
Also would having a cat 2 immobiliser significantly reduce the pemium.

Dont bother with online quotes.

I'm 20, on the road for 21 months now and am paying ?700 standard 1.4 SR.

Ring round and tell them you've been offered xxx
