ok, after alot of searching and research i cant find a definate answer on how to do this,
some people say :
use a 1.7 diesel flywheel and clutch
use a 1.7 turbo diesel flywheel and clutch
use a 1.7 diesel flywheel with small block clutch
use a smallblock flywheel and clutch
i basically want to know what it is exactly as i need as i cant seem to find it.
Flywheel - ?
Clutch - ?
Clutch plate - ?
Starter motor - ?
The c20seh has a 6 bolt flywheel
if the c20seh has a 6 bolt flywheel you will need to use a small block flywheel and clutch. the diesel flywheels use 8 bolts
Just fit the 'right' box and save a lot of faff.

its abit of fun just to see what they are like i have an f20 and set of shafts sitting here but i'd rather see what an f13 will do first.
It'll do fine... till you eventually kill it and claim they are poo. Done :p

More torque than a 1.6, but no way near enough to be terminal.
Agreed, grassers rag the balls off them week in,week out fitted to 20xe's
Or a F15 from a corsa gsi/sport?
you use a 1.7 d clutch & flywheel.. from a mk2 astra/mk3 cav.
ask lynz. she ran one for ages.

The smallblock Vauxhall 1.7 diesel then?
the old 1.7 non turbo is a bigblock, as was the 1.6d. on the mk2 astra 1.7d van, they used the f13 box. so it stands to reason that the 1.7d clutch & flywheel will do the job. it is also from the pre ecotec era when they had 8 bolt cranks.

what about a 1.7 flat d corsa, would that fit ?
cheers for help guys
thats an isuzu lump. its big block. i have no idea about the flywheel on one of those.
what about a 1.7 flat d corsa, would that fit ?
cheers for help guys
That will not fit as the engine is a isuzu engine not the 1.7D engine from a MK2/3 astra which is a GM engine (based on on a 2ltr 8v petrol)
Most Mk3 astra van have this gm engine if its any help..
