I don't know the proper Name for it is, but the wiring on the back of the clocks,

I have 4 split wires on the back. Which is stopping my fuel gauge and temp working.

My clocks are the 6 dial ones with orange needles, someone recommended soldering them but there split under the plastic backing and I don't want to pull that off unless it rips anymore.

Can I take the same wiring plate off another set of 6 dial clocks and fit them onto mine?

Anyway pictures:

As long as you find the membrane from another set of four or six dial mk1 clocks then yes its a straight swap-over:thumb:

Soldering them up does work but IMO it's abit of a fire risk

You could replace the back from another set, as you have the 4 dial 2 warning light clocks I'm not sure wether you can use a bit from any mk1 sr/gte clocks which have 6 dials or you need them from the same set of clocks you have

yep, or simply repair the tracks with actual wire and solder :)

I had to repair a digi dash and I pealed back the plastic and cut back the copper neatly then soldered a wire on to bridge the gap. You could always tape over the track part to stop it earthing on the chassis.

I think I'll replace the whole plate then buy another set of clocks and take the plate off.

I don't want to risk damaging them anymore by faffin about with them,

Many thanks for the help guys
