Iain ( nov4-sport ) has his vxr at around 300bhp it's pretty quick at that lol
iirc it's mapped with a pre cat removal.

i would sell it i was utterly disapointed in the nurburg edition, considering they cant keep up with a 125bhp 106 rallye

Id guess at 250-260 depends on who's mapping it.
Love the sound of those nurburgring astras :wisewood:

1. Where did this happen?
2. Who was driving?

Stage tuning is for retards.

OF all the GM tuners that I hate, I hate Courtenays the least.... Goto any of the others and you are a mong.

Iirc you can't get over 260bhp unless the main cat is swapped for a Miltek/sports cell one

That's what it was when I looked into it for my Z LET

Nurburg's do sound better because of the Remus exhaust but like mk4 GSI's VXR's are such a boring drive

Didn't 'stage' tuning die out with ford xflow? I've never understood it, as every old school tuner seems to have a different idea as to what it meant...
I did read an interesting article in tv mag about some bloke who decided to turbo a 2.2, and reg & al were progressively upping its power in stages, and it read that they were doing it to make sure the engine got used to it bit by bit....i struggled to understand this.

Stage tuning is still rife, particularly in the vauxhall arena :(

I've said many many times if I could cope with dealing with idiots I'd open a 'tuning shop' and I'd only sell a Stage 1, which could be anything from a wash/dry of the bodywork upto an eleventybillion bhp engine lol

you'd think with all the idiotic questions i keep asking about ecu's that you are well versed in coping by now...the main issue is getting payment up front for work to scare off dreamers....

You must (have) had the patience of a saint.... Dealing with OEM's about stuff is pain in the ass enough without mixing that with the general pubelick
