Well My Saloon Turned Up Yesterday!, 2dr green mk1 goodness inside!

Some of you may have seen it on ebay?
at a ridiculously cheap price i had to have it... so the specs :
mk1 (B) two door nova saloon
1ltr 70,000 miles and two owners from new,
THE BROWN DASH! :d , and green cheq interior,
Possibly original Panasonic cassette player?
it also has a p/s mirror blank and the early d/s mirror,
No bump strips or side repeaters...
The plan is to tidy it up to as near to original as possible as a mint first car,

I'm yet to find out more on the battery tray, it may just be underseal? and i believe the colour to be florida green? the code is 43L?

i think its just a reaction to all the kingdom bodykits & flip paints/big wheels etc... seeing a pure original one again is such a relief.

Yeah deffo, speedlines are completely over played, it needs something classic, mk1 astra gte's for alloys or sr steels i recon would look good personally, i cant wait to come back down south bro to see it :D Completely jelous that your in a nova n i aint :'(

It's like a better condition version of mine..only in green lol
mines also a b reg, no side repeaters, rear belts or passenger mirror. im going for lowered, minilites and pressed plates
also first car :)

I just had a look at your blue loon... it looks so sweet!
Here are some pictures of it after i had a ocd moment (for three hours...) as i have a local village classic car show with it tomorrow, the plans are to just keep tidying it up, waxoyl the whole underneath, paint it all the components bit by bit, engine out, possibly rebuild the 1l (as a first car engine) i also want to get some coilovers for it, and i'm possibly going banded steels but might just keep my opel manta gte alloys for it and re spray them in either the vauxhall cremy colour or the same colour brown as the dash...

I think its leaf green?

The bat tray is just like mine, looks like underseal and feels like it.
Mine just rotted under it lol.

A east anglia meet sounds awesome!, i have a mate who lives local (not off here) with a mk1 2dr loon in red slammed on minilites it would be great to get the three together, also mine isn't that amazingly clean, at some point it's had rear arches and there is a small hole in the back of the p/s sill so i might just get a new pair put on, ohh and the d/s door ... :)

That is awesome mate!!! KEEP IT STANDARD!!! Why modify a minter when there are plenty of messed around with examples to mess around with instead!?

The stereo isn't original but its still very appropriate for the age of the car. As standard yours either would have had 'the shelf' blanking plate or at best a Philips MW/LW radio. Your Panasonic probably isn't ISO so you could put an original Philips one back in easily enough if you can find one... or a green blanking shelf... !! Anyway that is a quality, standard Nova! :)
