hi
i race a c14se (big flywheel) engine and have been led to belive the deisel gearboxes may be the same but stronger. cant seem to find much out about this...
will it fit?
what are the gains?
what gearings are available in theese boxes?

any help would be much appreciated...

They are likey to be the same. The cluster will be a wide ratio on, likely on a 3.7 diff. Will give higher top speed but less acceleration.

Diesel gear box is just about the exact same as the petrol one I had a f13 from a diesel on a e16se and was poo so ended up buildin my own one f10 cluster in f13 casing with 4.18 cwp was good combination and had good all round advantages quick acceleration and would sit on 130mph on the limiter in top gear

I thought the weasel engine was the Isuzu based lump and as such had a different box??

nope, the isuzu 1.5d/td & the gm 1.7d fits the f13, and the isuzu 1.7td fits the big block boxes

best gear cluster for racing is a 2.21 second gear cluster , rare now but still a few knocking about ,expect to pay up too £300 for one , i used to race at buxton , skeggness, bellvue . i always used a 2.21 cluster and just swapped my diff for each track
