Hand brake help

hi all
i have fitted a new beam off an older nova and it does not have the lugs at each end for the hand brake cable. my brother said it is also missing a plate from the center for the handbrake assembly. my current cable is too long and i have no handbrake . can someone shed some light on this please and maybe even some pics of the old beam with cable so i can see if i need new cabe or just this plate or both, and if someone has the parts i need going spare.

the handbrake fits into the backplate doesn't it? and at the 'other' end there is a metal bracket the short end fits to & the middle of the long end fits.
