40's manifold

some of you may know im after a set of 40's..

ive been offered a few sets and i know which im probably going to go for but someone else who lives not far from me has a set and theyre off a 1300 sr, obviously theyd need jetting and setting up to my engine as i have a 1600 8v but he's adamant that the 1300 manifold will fit.

i dont think it will but i just want to double check

technically yes it will fit, but the ports wont line up correctly... now what you could do is buy them and sell the manifold to fund a 1600 one...

i thought it would be something to do with the ports, ill prob give them ones a miss then as someone has it all to fit a 1600 just would have been easier as i could have collected instead of waiting for post.

my mate has manifold for C14/16se head (sri/gsi) for 40's that i sold him him, he recently sold the carbs to a cough ford owner so has no use for it, if your interested PM me as he dosent come on here
