paint the quad lights the same as the car and then the grill will look ok IMO

big difference in weight between old one and new ally one

for any one who wants to fit the undersized pully you need a 875 alternator belt

PAS belt stays as you can adjust it to take slack out

also waiting on Bilstein B8 shocks and new Eibach springs

tryd fitting the carbon strip today been told they go over the wood ones
done that but the fit was crap lol

so had and idea mr grinder came out :cool

chop up the wood ones for the pins and q bond them to the carbon ones (had spare rear wood ones so i didnt chop my gsi ones up)

Headlight beam pattern will be fine as i did this with my old TD and my SRi, both had beam patterns checked before and after, no change as youve masked up the right bit, oh and you can has a billion man points for binning those gash morettes and fitting proper lights back in:d

Loving the painted lights :)

I'm still in two minds about my Morettes - the Cibie lamps in them give a shoite beam pattern but they do put out way more light than the standard cav lamps on full beam. I'll see what they're like with the BMW lamps (if they fit) otherwise I might be tempted to go back to standard lights too and spunk out on some PIAA force whites or something.

cruising down the motorway tonigh on way to a cruise/meet and here a knock n a thud wtf i thought the lost all drive fuking great

so coasted off the rounderbout into a ind estate

popped the bonnet try looking etc...no leaks no holes in gear box of transfer box etc and no oil leaking? by the stage i was fuked off

next problem it had to be on a flatbed or bar as it lock 4x4 so all wheels had to do them same grrrr

foned a mate who got mates with mr mike haywood who makes the looking kit and he wants me to send him my TXB so he can examine it him self

so il get that shipped off to he can check it over, could be any thing tho so start stipping it down tomoz

already been told ive wrecked the looks of the cav now by putting these on f lol i knew they were going to like marmite lol

must of bean a leak over the last couple of months as the gear train jammed up and stripped teeth and smashed gears in theTXB

as the TXB jammed to a dead stop it tock my F20 4x4 box with it grrrr

ow well lets start the rebuild :)

finaly got a oil presure switch and gauges sorted :) only had the volt gauge working lol

5ish on cold start up and sits on 2 on warm idle

i used a nova sr one as they use a oil gauge to :) (gsi/gte use them to but i had a sr lump lying round f lol )

on the gauges you have a blue wire with a yellow chaser this wire goes to the little thread bit i just used a ring conector and a nut on it then :)

this oil switch will screw in place of the single wire switch that is fitted to xe's as standed

not to sure were you would fit on a derv tho jack

fits like the oem mount but 100 times stronger

cav feels so much better when changing gear now :)

made from 5mm steel plate amd range rover v8 cotten reel mounts :cool

hes being fat too picky with it,he will get a lot done then leave it in garage then gets covered in overspray then has another stint on it then gives in and messes with his land rovers though he has a cav gsi 2wd as his daily car
