picked up my new free TXB on the weekend :d

not the biggest update ive done

some local bloke was cleaning his garage out he popped up to see if was interested in some bits for the corsa etc

so while sorting tho boxes n boxes of parts i came across this in a box

genuine GM mint cav sunroof deflector every thing is there (i think)

no marks what so ever on it :)

he bought years ago for his old cav sri from vauxhall

was dirty cheap :p

tock the silver bit of the cig lighter out of the white plastic suround, then the usb chager will snuggly fit into the white suround like in the pic

(no need for glue or anything as it sits in tight)

wiring.. take apart and remove the side metal bits off charger and solder 2 wires off the board, then put it bk together so nothing is exposed then add 2 spade connectors

so they plug n play with the oem plug :thumb:

Someone stole my idea lol I planned to put a USB socket on my dash but when it runs on a funny voltage I never bothered to work out how to step it down. I'd still rather just see it like the side off a laptop but top work all the same

Think ill swipe that idea, local Maplins sell them, but my ashtray refuses to open without snapping the back off it for some reason so ill drill a hole inside the glovebox and mount it there i think as ill need something for satnav/phone charging when im at Billing and National weekend lol

The metal spring thing on the dash that holds it open appears to be too tight and just simply wont let it open, its started to crack so ive left it closed for now, but ive sanded the lip down on the ashtray itself, and greased it too, but its still not playing ball :cry:

another weekend and another day stuck on the side of the road with the bonnet up waiting to be towed :(

alternator belt got bored of goin round & round and decided to throw it self off taking the PAS belt with it grrrreat aye f lol

so im need of both belts now

just driving and dash lights came on n steering went hard as fuk lol

rolled it around a corner on to a IND estate

poped the bonnet n looked at the earth goin from block to alternator bracket as i had trouble with that before

then notice i was missing both belts lusky as they could of jammed up etc

but had all the belt case off this morning to check for bits of belt n all clear

so pick uo 2 new belts :)

since my rear koni shocks were leaking i thought id get new ones :)

found out the the billy B8's are now no longer made for the cavalier 4x4 :( mega gutted, so only got B8s on the front

next best was the spax adjustables to cope with the 60mm drop :)

comps are off and gone for powder coating as they wernt white when i bought them

got slabs cheap with tyres for winter (these will get refurbed to)

went for diesel ranger rover mounts this time as they are sqaure and fit the 2wd sunframe spot on

100% to drive feels so much better pulling thro gears :)

camber i cant really help as Gsi's run IRS and not a beam

all lowered gsi's and turbo's squat the same when lowered

my 4x4 done the same but i did buy camber bushes @ £200 dont fancy doing it to this as its only 2wd and wont cause problems like the other one would

it maybe something to do with that i got 2 cav gsi's and drive a gsi as a daily??..... who knows
