Right I'm looking at the possibility of replacing the FULL set of my hoses, BUT from what Ive seen if you want to get the entire lot replaced you have to buy 2-3 set parts, and the cost is going to be around £295? this is insane, is there no place who makes/sells a full set of water/breather silicone hoses for nova's running XE's that does not need to buy them as separate set's??

Any actual links, info of some one/some where to buy would be nice, Cheers.

Roose XE nova ancillary

I can identify expanstion hoses and matrix etx, but whats the others for?? £176.95

Then hers' the rad hoses..

I know what top/bottom rad hoses are but whats that other? £118.95

I was under the impression that they were nearer £300 for both sets so you have everything, id rather not have to pay that much either as i want a full set of decent hoses for mine rather than scabby offcuts which imo look poo lol

1.3/1.4 SR is around £200 for a FULL set so an XE will be even more, which is ridiculous when you consider there are probably more XE Novas than SR's with the original engine

Do a deal with you, i want yellow (obviously) but you might want blue, so i could work out what i need/don't need see if i can order what i need in yellow, what i don't need in blue? lol could help??

Lol im still unsure what colour to use, its going to be a choice between blue, which i reckon will be too much colour in the bay, or just plain black for the factory look lol

I have the Roose XE kit on mine, IIRC the kits are:
Coolant hoses
Ancilliary hoses
Breather hoses
Inlet hose

The full set came to nearer £350 IIRC but it's all a straight fit with no hoses left over and they look schweeeeet.

I'll stick with rubber me thinks! Especially as I just got a full set of brand new genuine hoses for a small block for £15 from Billing.
TBH I have gone off silicone hoses a bit and was thinking of putting all the original rubber hoses back on the 888.
The new classic black hoses look OK from the likes of Samco.

I agree on sports/or standard cars etc, but my xe use to have standard stuff on it, i was eating through matrix/header pipes on a monthly basis till i went to silicone, saying that i need some hoses for the 1.2 any idea of good place's to get them from?

I got my full set of Roose hoses for the Sport from LMF, worked out at £180, silicone is better IMO as it will last longer

OE ones are ok if your trying to maintain some originality, but as that wasn't really the look I was after I never bothered to track any down

No way, you can get different colours, do they do the hazard tape stuff, might do them with that and all of my hoses would look 'hazard' innit lol

You've gotta get a bright colour like red, I got black hoses and regret it as nobody notices they're non standard!

Black does not show up the dirt though plus it is not as 'in your face' as the other colours. I prefer a more subtle colour

funk paying that for hoses, you'd be better of with new standard ones would'nt you not and just use silicone ones for water

/\ but you can't get 'standard' XE Nova hoses, thats the problem.

Scott, re your first post, the 3rd water hose goes between the waterpump and the solid pipe that goes round the back of the block, and the ancilliary hoses include all the engine breathers too, like cam cover to TB/inlet and the main front breather too

Half of them are discontinued & not always as cheap as you'd expect being a Vauxhall mains stealership.
There was loads of banter on MIG a while back with owners of various converted cars & Mr Roose developing the full kits for said cars, pretty sure The Simps was involved.

I had a couple Roose hoses on my last engine & IMO they are much nicer than Samco's.

i have to agree with that, they seem much better quality than samco. samco ones seem very flimsy in comparison
roose are local to me so the last time i was in, they were saying that samco have just launched some 'special 4-ply high temp hoses' and are selling them for more than the standard ones, the chap said that all of rooses hoses have always been like that, and they are still cheaper lol

I have to admit, I think Samco's 'classic black' range is really nice though.

Albeit a bit pointless imo, unless your really want the 'factory' look, as Lionel said, everyone thinks there standard ones

Dunno if SFS (http://www.sfsperformance.co.uk/) do GM hoses? They're usually cheap.

Anyway, what you worrying about. The filter > turbo hose alone on my Celica is £130 lol

have you tried going to a specialist hydrulic hose supllier theres a place near me caled mend a hose an they can custom make hoses to suit
as for the matrix pipes you can use a braided tap hose from srew fix see joffs build thread
