We're going on a ridiculous road trip to the French Riviera soon, taking in Monaco, Núrburg & Paris to name literally just a few places over the course of 3 weeks lollol.

Having never drove on the continent before, is there anything in particular we need to know? Other then adeqaute insurance etc any general rules etc

I think your legally required to carry in your car a warning triangle, hi-visibilty vest, replacement bulbs and such in some EU countries.

first aid kit, warning triangle, hi-vis vest, complete set of replacement bulbs and fuses, fire extinguisher, and remember they drive on the wrong side of the road (that last one is pretty useful lol)

and dont forget european breakdown cover, well worth it, and usually included in european insurance cover (i picked mine up from tesco's when i went to france a few years back)

You'll need number plates with GB on them

Also the clear sticky plaster things that need to go on your headlights, I decided not to fit any when I went over in the mk4 astra, bad idea lol got pulled by the French cops lol

To be honest anything that stops the beam kicking up to the left will do, including electrical tape
