engine wiring

ok ive got my 16SV engine up and running but ive got a couple of wires to connect:

blue/yellow
blue/white

I'm sure one of these must be to charge the battery from the alternator because at the moment my battery isn't charging but which one is it and where do i connect it on the alternator??

Buy a Haynes Manual if you don't already have one, it'll tell you. Also it would be really helpful to us if you told us where these wires were how big they are and maybe a picture posted would help as well. As it stands nobody can answer this.

i think blue/white is alt, not sure on blue/yellow

I already have a haynes manual just can't really understand the wiring diagram. The wires are in the engine bay(!)

Blue/white is alternator dunno what blue/yellow is
