Hey, I've finally bought a valver nova last Sunday but i know feck all bout the engine. Im gonna service it this weekend and wondered if anyone had any recomendations on what i should check/setup on it other than the standard service type stuff (oil, filter, plugs)? Is there any little mods i could do straight away? any problems i should check for?

well if it hasent got one get an air filter of sumsort, zorst system, powercap? depends on how 'cheap' ur talking mate..

it already has magnex system and an induction kit.

oil flush/change, water and antifreeze flush/change, new plugs, leads and dizzy cap/rotor arm (unless its distributorless). get a K+N filtercharger kit and clean the filter and reoil. the induction kit can increase problems with kangarooing coming down the rev range, so helping that to breath better should help. you can also do the 'breather mod' if you feel like it, i had problems with kangarooing on my valver, and this mod did help.
