SORRY ABOUT THAT CHEESE.

i WANT TO PUT A SET OF 15'S ON, WITH 195-45-15, BUT THE WHEELS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IN A 7J RIM. I CURRENTLY RUN 185-60-14 WITH A 6J RIM ET30, WHICH JUST SQUEEZE INSIDE THE ARCHES, SO WOULD THE 15'S FIT, IF SO WHAT OFFSET WOULD BE BEST?

I TRIED ASKED THE SHOPS BUT WHEN YOU GET THIS DETAILED THEY JUST SHRUG!!

ET49 is perfect with 7J try not to go less than et45 or you will struggle a little.

7" on et49 might catch the inner arches

et45 is seen as the best offset for 16 and 17" in 7j since 49's are that little bit closer to the inner arch and 45 will give more clearance (only 2mm right enough but still 2mm is better than nowt)

plus the 45's can be machined down to 49 if u need to

u'd need to use spacers to go the other way which aint ideal :/

ah,

nice to get some confirmation of my thoughts. As I've got 6" ET30 on which just fit inside the arch, I presumed for 7", the centerline would have to come 1/2" inwards, hence pushing the offset about 12-13 outwards, hence ET45 ish.

Smart, I've got some confidience in whacking bigger wheels in now.
