saw some well tasty 15" TSW's earlier at a place near me in ringwood called motor world. only ?399.99 for 195/45/15 wheels + tyres.
then my eyes were caught by the newer model of them but in 17's!!!! (205/40/17). for only ?549.99 with tyres. too good to be true surley.
went to regal but they said too much work to roll arches so they basiclly said fcuk off!!!! went to south coast wheels, they said its a lot of work but they'd do all four arches for ?120 but they wont flair them for me!!!
does anyone from southampton know anywhere that will do them cheaper and flair them as well?
what bout that place near you Frog?do they roll and flair arches?

Most places will be reluctant to do it, because if there is ANY rust in the arches, even if not visible, they will crack when rolled/flared.

thats wot the guy from south coast said, he said it might crack but you can jus fill it in. would it work if i got the arches treated first then?
and how much roughly woud it cost to get it treated?
really really want them wheels on my car, will go to any length to get them.

My mate just had his done for 20quid an arch and he had to repair 2 arches and that was 15 quid each arch +spraying thats at a little garage in colchester essex
go for the 15's - alot less hastle - saves bashing the arches up and reduces the strain on other parts (suspension etc).
Also 17's actually slow the car down, make your speedo well out and reduce the handling of the car
16's or 15's better (in my opinion)
Ade
u can fit 18's on with hardly any bother m8!!! it is easy to roll the back arches, just cut them with a hack saw at 2 or 3 inch intervals down to the fold, then heat up the arch with heat gun, so the paint goes alittle flexable, then tap flat with a mallet and the seal with underseal etc, for the fronts just take and angle grinder and grind those suckers back and seal with either paint or underseal
easy peasy
Ballsy
dont go past the welds though if grinding
its better to roll your arches back ( u can roll them back with a brush shank and abit of bruit force)( but if u really fucking love your nova get em done propperly) then when they are folded back weld them shut, no water will get in but the arches may warp with the heat from the welds, i saw a lad round my way and they are all fucked up/warped, but i have felt under then and no water is gettin in them fuckers. then underseal them all. spot on
i was always told 15s were perfect for the nova give best handling, an still keep the performance.
i'm now getting some 16's only reason is the styling factor
fergie 17's would throw your speedo out an kill your cars performance as ade said coz if i remember correctly is't only a small engine
Do NOT flair your arches...It looks s**t unless you get totally smoothed euro style flared arches like on Karthiks runaround. I made the mistake of getting a bodyshop to flair my arches and I hate it. I bought the correct offset wheels and am waiting to get my car into a decent bodyshop to get the arshes back to normal. You will regret it if you flair the arches...don't do it!!!
Jim
P.S. Did I mention that I don't like flared arches?

i've decided to go for the 15" blades now, only ?299.99 with tyres. and arches shouldn't need rolling, will look phat and look big enough hopefully.
only 1" bigger than i got right now but there much wider so will be able to take corners quicker.
anyone want some GSi alloys? ?50 ono? PM me or E-mail me at fergie_sfc@hotmail.com
