what rad/fan set up you got?

is it getting hot, when giving it some, or just ticking over ?

Has the water pump been replaced? I would check that, Did you have the head pressure checked when you replaced the head gasket?

Edit.

Just thinking about it, a few weeks ago i had to put an extra cooling fan on a let mk3 astra because when stood still the radiator didnt have enough cooling effect with just one fan.

As said by rick i rebuilt the engine for him i fitted new z20let steel gasket which i drilled the rivits out of i replaced the waterpump headbolts all crank bearings and gaskets but since we refitted it it overheats and starts bubbling out of the header tank the thermostat has being removed too just to eliminate it has anyone else had similar issues or anyone local who could come have a nosey see if they no any different like rich (bluepeg16v) lol.
