Would just like to recommend Graham Sykes Insurance for anyone looking for a reasonable quote on their Nova.
Tried Adrian Flux first who wanted around £3K TPFT, then Sky who were unable to cover due to my postcode (not sure on the rating but its not the best), and HIC who were also unable to cover.
Was starting to get frustrated with companies who said they would ring back and never did. I tried Graham Sykes who were unable to give a quote immediately but said they would ring back...wasn't getting my hopes up but sure enough the same afternoon I received a phone call with a quote of approx £1500.
This may sound a lot, but at 21 with 0NCB, albeit a clean licence - fully comprehensive cover including commuting, on a 1987 Nova L with a tweaked C16XE and uprated suspension, wheels and brakes with all mods covered. More than happy with the service I have received from them so far :thumb::d

I rang them last year...
Nova C20XE.
All usual mods declared, brakes, suspension, the usuals.
19 YO, Bradford postcode, 1 years no claims....
£1400
Wish I had the cash for the conversion at the time.

That was a good quote Rich tbh, also Matt, to say we are classed as living in the Bronx. You live in a nice area though compared to me lol

Aye southie, I was VERY impressed. About to ring them about my Corsa as I intend to "adjust" back to a Nova as soon as a decent one becomes available.
Well i'm not. Put in my details in on-line yesterday for a quote on my Signum.....decided it was easier to ring them, so did this morning.
All he did on the phone was confirm what I put in on the on-line quote system.
Told him the correct engine size 2.0l Turbo (even said there's no option to say it's a turbo)
Right at the end of the call they said "It's not Turbo or Super Charged is it?" Urm.......:tard:
Rang Chris Knott, normally they can't match Adrian Flux, this year easily beat them, really helpful too. So already paid them. As for Graham.....still waiting for a quote, even though I told them i needed it sorting this morning.

Just insured the following with them, and no-one, including Flux would get anywhere near:
Astra Merit 1.4
Full GSI body kit
Lowered
Turbo Brakes all round
Turbo Wheels
GSI interior
Cat back exhaust
2.0 8v engine
all declared on 5000 mls/year
I'm 20, 3 years no claims, live in Preston post code so not fantastic area
£1260 all in.
The Mrs has just gone with these and we too have to say what a price!!!
Our postcode was awful and no one else would touch. We got the Nova with 1.6 16v engine and all mods declared for £430!!!! We had to email them back to confirm they hadn't missed a 1 off from the quote!
We have another car too as a daily so this is on a modified classic limited mileage policy but upto now really impressed!!!
The Mrs is 24 and has 5 years no claims on the other car.
That's who I've used for years only a stones throw away from me, Let nova costs me a grand a year fully declared everything, including my convictions !

Try RH insurance, they do agreed valuation but you will need evidence/confirmation of value.
Very reasonable prices too, £235 for both of my Nova's together.

Bloomin' heck that's cheap! Must be the area you're in.
Both me and Tina have just renewed with GS, they have absolutely brilliant. My quote was £120 cheaper than my renewal, and Tina's was £180 cheaper!!
Been with these for years can't fault them

NCD are irrelevant on a Classic Policy.

Not with graham sykes. They asked for my ncb proof and are giving me another year when up for renewel. Far better than lancasters policy where i got bugger all for 2 years.

Just paid the deposit with this insurance who kindly saved me a few pennies compared to adrian flux / sky..
Well half the price from both mensioned earlier
Still expensive to some members on here but £551 - c20let nova all mods declared... 24 years old with 3 years ncd... not bad as adrian flux was originally my cheapest at £1103.. was put of by graham sykes when needed alot more info and also pictures of the vehicle before qouting.. glad i could be bothered to... or possibly they saw the pics and thought wtf is that we wont pay much on it so only charge him £551! :-)
Great price, I'll try those next year!
