well the haynes give you lift but that really is no use at all without all the other bits
i have a code F cam (possibly 1.4 sri) here and its about 240 degrees duration and around 6.12 mm lift on in and exhaust
so a 1.6 cam will have similar duration as the lift is 6mm
alan at velos has said that a 1.3 cam in a 1200 will gain you 6 bhp, not too bad for a very cheap modification

what about a 1.6 cam in a 1.2?? thats what im gonna be doing for a test when i change my head gasket.
dizzy drives maybe different
and apparently the 1.4 cam is the best overall as its got .12mm more lift and consiquently a little more duration

ok cheers
i would have thought though that if companies like piper sell cams for 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.6 nova/astra engines (all in one bracket so to speak) that they will all be interchangeable. ??
Never mind cheers anyway mate

i've heard that the 1.4sr cam is the best cause it has 6.12mm lift but apparently, i've also heard, that the GTE (or GSI?) cam has the best duration.
