I am currently re building my mk 1 sr which is a D reg (87) and i have got a pair of wings which don't have the holes for the indicators. Am I right in thinking that it will not pass its Mot like this ? if this is the case would someone be kind enough to measure roughly where the holes are on the wings so I can drill them to fit indicators.

its times like this im glad my mate is a mot tester. lol

i think that cars of certain ages dont actually need them. i may be wrong. i probably am.

Don't think they need to be in a specific place, maybe an opportunity to do something a bit different....... wing mirrors maybe? Depend if you are going for the standard look.

It's pre 85 cars that don't need them.

M B reg saloon doesnt have them, or rear seat belts and a passsenger side wing mirror, it never causes me MoT trouble.

side indicators are not needed for that year of vehicle. if they were not fitted then they do not require fitting!

Id take it for a test and not mention anything. if the MOT tester does bring it up he will be able to find out exactly what year they need them. My '85 C reg does not have them or rear belts, or a passenger mirror

my 85 c reg doesn't have indicators either, no problems even at vauxhall when it was mot'd there
